1. Do you think that Councils and community members need to have a greater voice in planning and development decisions affecting their local area?
   Absolutely! The people most affected by these decisions must have a strong say in them.

2. What role should Councils play in protecting local heritage places from demolition or inappropriate development?
   Councils are the level of government most closely connected to local communities and generally have the greatest stake in balancing development with heritage protection. They should therefore have the final say in relevant development decisions.

3. How would you seek to improve protections for heritage places in your area?
   I understand that council's power in protection of heritage places has been eroded by state government. I would seek to work with other councillors and councils to lobby state government to rectify this overreach.

4. We rarely see new places added to local heritage listings. Why do you think this is?
   The most worthy places are already on heritage listings. However, as time goes by, recognition of heritage must be an ongoing process. There is much to be proud of in our history and heritage and much that is worthy of preservation. And we must avoid the folly of judging historical figures by today's politically correct standards and then "cancelling".

5. How has the Planning and Design Code impacted on the heritage, amenity, and environment of your area? What changes would you seek to the Code?
   At this stage I don't know enough of the specifics of the code to say what changes I'd seek.

6. What are the impacts of infill development in your area? What changes would you seek in the rules around infill development?
   At this stage I don't know enough of the specifics of the rules to say what changes I'd seek.

7. Construction of new housing typically uses 30% labour and 70% materials. Renovation of existing housing stock typically uses 70% labour and 30% materials. What policy changes would you like to see made to encourage people to renovate, rather than demolish and build anew?
   The current dire shortage of tradespeople needs to be rectified before enacting changes to encourage renovations over new builds.

8. How should the community be informed and involved in decisions about new developments?
   The current system of seeking public consultation seems to get the community fairly engaged. Councils perhaps need to take more notice of community feedback.

9. Do you think there is adequate tree canopy across your local government area?
   City of Onkaparinga has adequate tree canopy in most areas, but more would be better.

10. How would you like to see significant and regulated trees in your area protected from removal?
    This should be a high priority in planning decisions, but would be one of several.

11. What involvement should Councils have in decisions about protecting or removing significant and regulated trees?
    Councils should have clear regulations and final say.

12. What actions would you advocate to slow or mitigate the impacts of climate change in your local government area?
    There is no evidence of any negative impacts of climate change in SA. Just dodgy modelling. And nothing councils do will make any measurable difference to the climate.

13. What issues are there with traffic and parking in your area?
    Poor traffic flow due to drivers being treated like idiots with such things as unnecessary red arrows at traffic lights.

14. How could transport options be improved in your area?
    So often we see huge buses driving along bus routes with few or no passengers. Smaller and more efficient buses running more frequently would work better.

15. What would your top three priorities be for improving planning policy and outcomes in your local government area?
    Preserving what makes our region great
    Preventing further degradation by solar and wind farms
    Reducing red and green tape, thereby fostering economic development
