1. Do you think that Councils and community members need to have a greater voice in planning and development decisions affecting their local area?
   Yes!

2. What role should Councils play in protecting local heritage places from demolition or inappropriate development?
   Council should have the power to stop such developments, Councils have the local knowledge and feet on the ground to protect these assets

3. How would you seek to improve protections for heritage places in your area?
   Pressure the State Government to work with Councils giving them greater power

4. We rarely see new places added to local heritage listings. Why do you think this is?
   Long term protection from developers who have no interest in our heritage

5. How has the Planning and Design Code impacted on the heritage, amenity, and environment of your area? What changes would you seek to the Code?
   We have many heritage buildings and community areas, now that the ‘sprawl’ it reaching our area, we must tighten control. Council will need greater power to stop development, working with State Planning

6. What are the impacts of infill development in your area? What changes would you seek in the rules around infill development?
   These areas set the tone of the area, once filled in, country town become just another suburb

7. Construction of new housing typically uses 30% labour and 70% materials. Renovation of existing housing stock typically uses 70% labour and 30% materials. What policy changes would you like to see made to encourage people to renovate, rather than demolish and build anew?
   Council can easily set a cut off date, of building age that cannot be demolished, without penalty

8. How should the community be informed and involved in decisions about new developments?
   The residents must be involved and have a say on development that will destroy their heritage

9. Do you think there is adequate tree canopy across your local government area?
   Yes

10. How would you like to see significant and regulated trees in your area protected from removal?
    Heavy fines for cutting down significant trees, without approval

11. What involvement should Councils have in decisions about protecting or removing significant and regulated trees?
    Councils should have they say on approval

12. What actions would you advocate to slow or mitigate the impacts of climate change in your local government area?
    Preserving the environment, I am all for. Man made climate change is only based on modelling. Stick with data based planning

13. What issues are there with traffic and parking in your area?
    Little at this stage

14. How could transport options be improved in your area?
    We have zero public transportation!

15. What would your top three priorities be for improving planning policy and outcomes in your local government area?
    Streamline the process with strict guidelines
    Zero demolition of heritage buildings that are sound
    Zero removal of significant trees that are sound
