Any asset or place of significance needs to be protected if the community deems it to be part of their cultural identity. In the local area where there is also natural heritage to protect, it is important to ensure that the resources boom or local issues do not impact upon the environment.Do you support local Councils retaining development approval powers for projects over $3m in value?
Yes, a council needs the full support of their State Government in all decisions. It can be very frustrating for locals when the State is making decisions they are unfamiliar with.Do you have any other thoughts about the protection of heritage in your Council area?
