1. What do you think Council's role is in protecting and conserving heritage?
   It is important for Council to maintain current assets of significance and not allow them to fall into disrepair.

2. What measures and incentives do you support to protect and conserve local heritage?
   Any asset or place of significance needs to be protected if the community deems it to be part of their cultural identity. It is important for our state government to support lga's in protecting current assets and presiding over the future of local heritage.

3. What is the most important heritage protection issue in your local government area?
   Maintaining the cultural identity of Port Augusta.

4. What policies and programs will you advocate to protect and conserve heritage in your local area?
   In the local area where there is also natural heritage to protect, it is important to ensure that the resources boom or local issues do not impact upon the environment.

5. Do you support local Councils retaining development approval powers for projects over $3m in value?
   Yes, a council needs the full support of their State Government in all decisions. It can be very frustrating for locals when the State is making decisions they are unfamiliar with.

6. Do you have any other thoughts about the protection of heritage in your Council area?
