1. What do you think Council's role is in protecting and conserving heritage?
   Making sure the development plan protects heritage and also funding and securing grants for listed properties and items, under the control of council

2. What measures and incentives do you support to protect and conserve local heritage?
   10% rate reduction and council support for grant funding for maintenance and restoration

3. What is the most important heritage protection issue in your local government area?
   The removal of virtually all local heritage protection from the development plan about 5 yrs ago,

4. What policies and programs will you advocate to protect and conserve heritage in your local area?
   Above plus reinstating that protection

5. Do you support local Councils retaining development approval powers for projects over $3m in value?
   YES

6. Do you have any other thoughts about the protection of heritage in your Council area?
   The National Trust needs to educate the elected members to the true positive value to the community of preservation and enhancement of history.
