What do you think Council's role is in protecting and conserving heritage?
Council have have more than a role, they have an obligation. Whether its through providing the a balanced framework to support development and heritage, or ensuring those in heritage sites comply with the legislation through to providing funding to protect heritage assets of significance.What measures and incentives do you support to protect and conserve local heritage?
A portion of the Council's budget must be allocated to continue work on public assets of heritage significance. This must be balanced against the community's ability to pay. Councils must continue to focus on reducing waste so these sorts of activities can continue or can these assets return funding to minimise funding requests.What is the most important heritage protection issue in your local government area?

Continuation of funding for existing heritage assets such as the Mayflower. Leveraging heritage buildings in Mannum's Main Street to create a point of difference for our main retail facilities generating increased tourism and business for district.Do you support local Councils retaining development approval powers for projects over $3m in value?
